JomCharge operator EV Connection has launched a new Platinum subscription in conjunction with the Kia Ownership Experience event. Aimed at EV owners who are heavy users of public chargers, it sits one rung above the existing Elite membership and offers greater savings in return for a higher monthly cost.
Platinum members will need to pay quite a lot more than the RM9.90 fee exacted for the Elite tier, with the subscription costing RM39.90 per month. In exchange, the discount goes up from 10% to 25%, and as before, there is no limit to the amount of discounted charging sessions.
The Platinum discount can be enjoyed at any of the over 900 JomCharge charging stations across Malaysia, and the savings are automatically applied in the JomCharge app. Users can also cancel the subscription at any time without penalties, as there is no contract.
An EV Connection booth will be present at the Kia Glenmarie flagship 3S centre throughout the Kia Ownership Experience event this week (until May 17), and those who attend will be able to snag a free two-month subscription to JomCharge Elite. Existing Kia EV customers, on the other hand, will receive a free month of JomCharge Platinum when they sign up at the booth.
