After the Slew of Long-Slung Concepts
After revealing a slew of low-slung SEMA concepts last week, including a rad 300-horsepower Sentra SE-R Spec-V, Nissan is turning its attention to something considerably taller. The automaker is bringing three truck and SUV concepts to the 2026 SEMA Show, showcasing different interpretations of off-road capability and customization. One of them is the Nissan Armada Jungle Patrol, which takes the full-size SUV in a rather unconventional direction.
Inspired by rugged Nissan vehicles that have tackled challenging environments worldwide, including the Patrol, the Jungle Patrol concept is designed around the idea of an expedition-ready machine. It trades much of the Armada’s conventional SUV character for an open-air configuration, specialized off-road hardware, and a safari-inspired cabin. The result is a vehicle that looks more suited to exploring remote trails than navigating the school run.

The Armada Gets an Extensive Makeover
The most noticeable change is the open-roof configuration, which removes the conventional roof in favor of a tubular steel roll cage. Nissan also fitted custom inward-facing bench seats with harnesses, giving the cabin the appearance of a traditional safari vehicle.
Outside, the Armada gets decked out with jungle-themed graphics, beefy tubular steel bumpers, and fender flares that mean business. NISMO Off Road throws in roof-mounted six-inch lights and rock sliders, so you can light up the trail and bash rocks without breaking a sweat.
The concept also gets a substantial suspension upgrade. Its widened track incorporates custom CJD long-travel racing suspension, featuring adjustable high-performance coilovers with remote reservoirs. This setup is paired with prototype NISMO 18-inch AXIS beadlock wheels wrapped in 37×12.50R18 Yokohama Geolandar G003 M/T tires.
Under the hood, the Armada retains its direct-injected 3.5-liter VR35 V6 engine. The standard powerplant produces 425 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. Nissan adds a prototype NISMO cat-back exhaust system, while Mobil 1 Extended Performance Oil is also included in the build.

A Preview of Nissan’s Off-Road Ambitions
The Armada Jungle Patrol is only one of three concepts Nissan prepared for this year’s SEMA Show. Nissan says these concepts are intended to inspire owners to personalize their vehicles while allowing its designers and engineers to gather feedback on potential future accessories and product directions.
The company also pointed toward its upcoming all-new Xterra, suggesting that more capable trucks and SUVs remain part of its future plans. However, none of the three SEMA builds will become production models in their current form – though Nissan says some accessories featured on the concepts may eventually be available through dealerships.
The 2026 SEMA Show runs from November 3 to 6 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Visitors can find Nissan’s concepts at booth No. 21521 in Central Hall.
