
Entering the Malaysia kapchai market is the AFAZ Kencana Sport 115, priced at RM5,799. AFAZ is the second Malaysian motorcycle brand behind Modenas, first making its debut in 2023.
Due to enter AFAZ authorised dealers in shortly with official lunch date as yet unconfirmed, news has been received by paultan.org that certain AFAZ dealers have the Kencana Sport 115 on the showroom floor. The Kencana Sport 115 is said to have 40% local content, including the bodywork exhaust and wheels, and is targetted to the budget conscious urban rider.
Developed in co-operation with Suzuki, the Kencana Sport 115 is the first AFAZ motorcycle to be offered to Malaysian riders. Making the Kencana Sport 115 unique is the in-house design of the bodywork, including the LED headlight with the AFAZ logo and the LED taillight that forms the letter ‘A’.

The Kencana Sport 115 is powered by a single-cylinder SOHC Euro-4 compliant mill displacing 113 cc and producing 9.1 hp at 7,500 rpm with a peak torque of 9.0 Nm at 5,500 rpm. Power goes to the rear wheel via a four-speed centrifugal clutch gearbox and fully-enclosed chain drive.
Suspension uses telescopic forks in front and KYB shock absorbers in the rear, adjustable for spring preload. Braking is done with hydraulic front disc brake and mechanical drum brake in the rear. Weight for the Kencanna Sport 115 is listed at 100 kg, with 4.2-litres of fuel in the tank, while seat height is set at 760 mm.
